Agora Korea — Terms of Use

Last updated: 6 October 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

Agora Korea (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a community app for the Western and African community living in or visiting South Korea, published by KiosKorea. By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Who can use Agora Korea

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post in the app. Browsing public content does not require an account; creating posts, joining communities, and other account-based features require you to sign in.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information and do not impersonate others. You may delete your account and associated data at any time from the app or by contacting us.

4. Community & user-generated content

Agora Korea lets members post content such as forum threads, comments, community listings, reviews, and photos (“user content”), and to send private 1:1 direct messages to other members. You own the content you create. By posting user content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute it within the app so the community can see it. You are solely responsible for the content you post and must have the rights to share it.

Direct messages are not user content and this licence does not apply to them: they are not public, and we do not display, distribute, or promote the content of your direct messages. We store and process direct messages only to provide the conversation feature.

5. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

There is no tolerance for objectionable, offensive, or illegal content, or for abusive behaviour towards other members. This includes, but is not limited to: harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, sexual or violent content, spam, fraud, and any content that is unlawful or demeaning.

By using Agora Korea you agree that you will not post objectionable content or engage in abusive behaviour. We reserve the right to remove any content and to suspend or permanently ban any user who violates this policy, at our sole discretion and without notice.

Posts, comments and replies are automatically checked for objectionable language, and content that fails the check is not published. Accounts that are suspended can no longer post.

We act on reports of objectionable content and abusive users within 24 hours: we review every report, remove violating content, and eject the offending user.

6. Reporting and blocking

Every post, comment, and direct message has a three-dot menu with a Report option to flag objectionable content, and a Block user option to stop seeing content from and interactions with an abusive member, including direct messages. Blocked users cannot contact you, including by direct message, and their content is hidden from you.

Content you report is removed from your feed immediately. You can also block the author of an anonymous post or comment: you will no longer see anything they post, and their identity stays private.

If you believe content violates these terms, please report it in the app or email us at [email protected]. We take every report seriously.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: break any law; infringe others’ rights; post objectionable content as described above; attempt to disrupt, hack, or reverse-engineer the app; collect other users’ data without consent; or use the app to send spam or scams.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these terms or to protect the community. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The app and its content (including community-submitted listings, prayer times, halal information, and travel content) are provided “as is” without warranties. Always verify important information independently. To the extent permitted by law, KiosKorea is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

11. Purchases in the Shop

Some flavors of the app include a Shop operated by 글로벌코리아, the same legal entity that publishes the app. Prices are shown in Korean won and include VAT where applicable. You pay by bank transfer to the account we specify, and your order proceeds once we have confirmed your deposit. We do not receive or store card numbers or any other card payment details.

Digital items such as gift-card codes and top-ups are delivered inside the app under My Orders. Cancellations, returns, and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy (취소·환불정책), also available from Settings, the checkout screen, and the business-information footer, and follow Korea’s Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (전자상거래법).
