Agora Korea — Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: 27 August 2026

1. Overview

This policy explains how to cancel an order, return an item, and get a refund for purchases made from Global Korea (글로벌코리아) — see Seller information below. It covers both the in-app Shop and paid partnership plan subscriptions for business owners.

It applies together with, and does not reduce, your rights under Korea’s Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (전자상거래법). Where this policy and the law conflict, the law prevails.

What you can cancel, and for how long, depends on what you bought — the law treats a revealed gift-card code, a delivered top-up, a sealed grocery item and a running subscription differently. We sell four kinds of thing:

• Digital items — gift-card codes and vouchers, delivered instantly.
• Top-ups — mobile airtime, PLN electricity and similar, sent to a number or meter.
• Physical goods — including groceries and fresh, chilled or frozen food, delivered to an address.
• Partnership plan subscriptions — paid features for business owners (section 5).

2. How your items are delivered

Digital vouchers and gift-card codes are delivered instantly inside the app: they appear under My Orders as soon as they are issued, where you tap “Reveal code” to see and copy them. There is no shipping fee and no physical delivery.

Top-ups (for example mobile airtime or PLN electricity tokens) are sent to the recipient number or meter you enter at checkout, usually within minutes; their status is shown under My Orders.

Physical goods are shipped by a domestic courier. The delivery method, estimated time, and any shipping fee are shown on the product page and at checkout before you pay.

Groceries and fresh, chilled or frozen food are delivered on a schedule shown at checkout, and travel refrigerated where the item requires it. Please take the delivery in promptly and refrigerate or freeze it straight away: food left out after delivery can spoil for reasons we cannot verify afterwards, which affects what we can refund (section 4).

3. Cancelling an order (right of withdrawal)

Under 전자상거래법 §17, you may cancel (withdraw from) an order within 7 days of the purchase or of receiving the item, subject to the limits in section 4 below.

For a physical item, you may also request a return within 7 days of delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition.

4. When cancellation is not possible

By law, the right of withdrawal is limited in the following cases:

• Digital vouchers / gift-card codes: once the code has been revealed, copied, or used, the digital content has been supplied and the order can no longer be cancelled (전자상거래법 §17(2)). You confirm this at the time of purchase. A code you have never revealed can still be cancelled.
• Top-ups: once the top-up has been delivered to the target number or meter, it cannot be cancelled, because it cannot be recovered.
• Physical goods: items that have been used, damaged, or had their value reduced by your handling, and made-to-order items, cannot be returned — except where the item is faulty or not as described (see section 7).
• Groceries and fresh, chilled or frozen food: these cannot be cancelled or returned once delivered, because they spoil and cannot be resold (전자상거래법 §17(2)). Sealed ambient items — for example rice, tinned or dry goods — can still be returned within 7 days if the seal is unbroken and the item has been stored as labelled. This limit never applies to food that arrives spoiled, damaged, past its date, or not as described: see section 7, and tell us the same day.

If we add product types not listed here, the same principle decides the outcome: you may withdraw within 7 days unless the item has been consumed, supplied, personalised, or cannot be resold — and that limit never covers a faulty or misdescribed item.

5. Partnership plan subscriptions

A partnership plan (for example a restaurant, salon, cargo or translation listing upgrade) is a paid subscription to features inside the app for a fixed period — one month or one year, chosen at purchase. It is charged as a single payment per period; it does not auto-renew, and no card details are stored for future charges.

The plan is activated as soon as the payment is confirmed. Because the service is supplied immediately and in full for the period you paid for, the 7-day right of withdrawal in section 3 does not apply once the plan is active — this is the digital-service limit under 전자상거래법 §17(2). You are told this on the payment screen before you pay.

If the payment is taken but the plan is not activated, contact us and we will either activate it or refund you in full.

You may stop using a plan at any time. Because each period is paid separately, stopping simply means not buying the next period — the period you already paid for runs to its end date, which is shown on your Plan screen.

If we withdraw a plan feature, suspend your listing other than for a breach of the Terms of Use, or the service is unavailable for a prolonged period, we refund the unused part of the period on a pro-rata daily basis.

6. Refunds

When a cancellation or return is approved, we process the refund within 3 business days.

A refund is always returned by the same method you paid with. Where you paid by card, we cancel the card payment and the amount is returned to that card by your card issuer — we do not ask for, and cannot use, your bank account for a card refund. Depending on the issuer and where you are in the billing cycle, it may appear as a cancelled charge rather than a separate deposit, and can take one or two further billing cycles to show.

Where you paid by bank transfer, we need the account holder name, bank name and account number to refund you. After we process the refund, the deposit can take a further one to two business days depending on your bank. Where an item was only partly delivered or used, we refund the undelivered or unused portion.

7. Faulty, wrong, or undelivered items

If a code or top-up fails to deliver, or a delivered item is faulty, wrong, or not as described, we will re-issue it or give you a full refund at no cost to you, including any return shipping. Please contact us as soon as you notice the problem and keep the item as delivered.

For groceries and fresh, chilled or frozen food, tell us the same day the delivery arrives and send a photo. Food that arrives spoiled, thawed, damaged, or past its use-by date is refunded or replaced in full, and you do not need to return it — please dispose of it safely. We ask for the same day because freshness cannot be judged afterwards, not to shorten your rights: a fault you could not reasonably have seen on delivery is still covered.

This section overrides the limits in section 4. A faulty or misdescribed item is always refundable, whatever it is.

8. How to request a cancellation or refund

Find your order number under My Orders in the app, then contact us with the order number and the reason at [email protected] or 070-8098-1379. We will reply as quickly as we can and tell you the outcome. Questions about this policy can be sent the same way.
